FARMINGTON — Giddy-Up & Go 4-H Horse Club will hold a food sale fundraiser From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday to support one of the club’s members who will be going to Eastern States 4-H Horse Show as part of the Maine Equine Team.

The fundraiser will be will be held in conjunction with Aubuchon Hardware’s Farm Swap Day on Wilton Road.

This is the first time that Giddy-Up & Go has a member going to Eastern States in West Springfield, Mass., according to a news release. The club is only six years old and until now few members have been old enough to try out for the team.

Aiden Shankland, one of the founding members of the club, and her horse, Country Shamrock, have competed in local 4-H Horse Shows since 1997. They will be showing in the Western Pleasure classes in Massachusetts.

All the proceeds from the sales will benefit the trip to Eastern States Exposition in September.
