The group participated in the fourth Annual Paddle Trek from Mount Vernon to Wayne which encompasses 10 bodies of water over 15 miles. Approximately 40 people paddled and hiked the route in 30 kayaks and canoes, according to Robbins, the executive director of the 30 Mile River Watershed Association, which sponsors the event.
