I was mowing the lawn on Aug. 13, when it slid sideways down a bank.

I landed on a stump with the tractor upside down on top of me. I live on the bank of Two Mile Stream; it was a very scary place to fall. I started hollering for help.

If nobody had heard me, I guess I wouldn’t be here now. As luck would have it, though, someone did — three young men and a young woman. Not only did they save my life, but they also pulled the tractor back up the hill and stayed around until the paramedics and police arrived to help.

Dazed as I was, I didn’t get a chance to get their names, or to thank them properly. I sure do appreciate their help, and I hope at least they see this letter.
