WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will offer a certified hospice volunteer training beginning Monday, Sept. 10. Support of two to four hours may include companionship, letter writing, life review, reading, compassionate listening, respite for the caregiver or bereavement support for family members.
Classes will be 5:30-8:30 Monday and Wednesday evenings Sept. 10, 12, 17, 19, 26 and Oct. 1. A pre-training interview is required as space is limited.

There is a $30 process and materials fee. Scholarships are available. Training applications can be requested by calling 873-3615 or by visiting hvwa.org/help-hospice.shtml.
