DAMARISCOTTA — The Kennebec Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited, nationally recognized for its three decades of advocacy and public outreach in restoration of the historic fisheries of the Kennebec and Sebasticook Rivers, will present “Music for Rivers” — a concert to benefit Cold Water Fisheries Conservation from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at the Darrows Barn, Round Top Farm, Center for the Arts.

The concert will feature the following Maine artists: The Cowboy Angels, a “Rock-a-Billy” band; the University of Maine at Augusta jazz and contemporary ensemble Christine McCormick & the Refrigerator Incubators; and contemporary singer-song writer Ellen Tipper.

A silent auction will be held between acts. Food will be available for purchase on the grounds by Vic Guimond’s “Just Got Smoked Bar-B-Q.”

Seating is limited and tickets will be available at the door, though purchasing advance tickets is recommended and they are on sale now for $20 each.

Ticket requests with cash or check payable to “KVCTU” should be mailed to: Sean McCormick, president, Kennebec Valley Chapter, Trout Unlimited, 80 East River Road, Whitefield, ME 04353. Please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope for return of tickets.
