MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Amanda M. Michaud recently earned a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She is a 2003 graduate of Mountain Valley High School in Rumford.

She also holds a bachelor of arts in economics with a minors in mathematics and Arabic from the University of Rochester and a masters degree in economics from the University of Minnesota.

Michaud is a tenure-track assistant professor at Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. She is the daughter of the late Danny R. P. Michaud and Mary (Swan) Michaud of Waterville.
