AUGUSTA — Women, Work, and Community will offer a 12-week training program, New Ventures, at the University of Maine at Augusta Gannett Building on Water Street.
Students will create a written business plan, learn about marketing, financial record-keeping and management of a small business, and practice entrepreneurship skills.
The course will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 26-Dec. 12. There is no cost. An application and interview are required. Application deadline is Sept. 12. For more information, call 800-442-2092 or email Jean Dempster at dempster@maine.edu.
