Colby constructing storage warehouse
WATERVILLE — Colby College recently announced the construction of a 25,000-square-foot storage warehouse on college-owned property on Washington Street. The building will provide climate-controlled space for long-term storage, freeing up space on campus to meet other needs, according to a news release. Colby selected Ouellet Associates Inc. as the design/build contractor for the project. Site work began in July and it is expected to be completed by spring.

BANGOR — A Rockwood man was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison Friday for unlawfully possessing a firearm while using illegal drugs. Jerome Gordon Richards, 27, was also fined $2,000 and was sentenced to three years of supervised release by Chief Judge John A. Woodcock Jr. in U.S. District Court in Bangor.
