NORRIDGEWOCK — First Congregational Church of Norridgewock will begin Sunday school classes Sunday, Sept. 9.
Parents can attend the church service while the children attend Sunday school.
Church service begins at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Nathan Richards.
Youth activities slated at Bible, activity club
WATERVILLE — AWANA Bible and Activity Clubs for children 3 year old through fifth grade and junior/senior high youth groups for sixth through 12th grades will begin weekly at Kennebec Valley Baptist Church, Marston Road.
Clubs will meet from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12. The clubs feature Bible stories, scripture memorization, competitive sports and activities, crafts and refreshments.

Bible conference set for Madison church
MADISON — Cornerstone Baptist Church will hold a two-day Bible Conference Sept. 8 and 9. The Rev. Wayne Shatney will present “Things God wants you to Know.”
Shatney is the representative of the Northeast Regular Baptist Fellowship of Churches. There will be a 6 p.m. Saturday evening meeting followed by a refreshments and Sunday school and morning worship followed by a fellowship Sunday lunch.
The final meeting will begin at 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend any or all these meetings.
