AUGUSTA — Leadership changes are in store for MaineGeneral Health.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2013, Chuck Hays, of Manchester, will become chief executive officer of MaineGeneral Health; he is currently chief executive officer of MaineGeneral Medical Center, which has hospital campuses in Waterville and Augusta.

Scott Bullock, currently president and chief executive officer of the MaineGeneral Health, will remain as president and will support Hays in policy, planning, physician recruitment, government relations and fund-raising, according to a press release from the hospital.

Bullock, of Waterville, has been CEO of MaineGeneral Health since 1999.

The announcment of the change came from Robert Marden, chairman of the board of MaineGeneral Health.
