Nancy Ross, 65, of Sidney, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle collision on West River Road in Waterville, according to police Officer Galen Estes.

Ross was driving a 2011 Subaru wagon north on West River Road near Trafton Road; Andrew Couture, 50, of Waterville, also was driving north in a 2000 GMC Sonoma pickup truck, in front of the Subaru, Estes said.

“He (Couture) slowed to make a left turn, but she (Ross) and another witness said he had the right blinker on. She went to pass him, thinking he was going to turn right. The vehicle contact was very light. It pushed her off into the lawn at 959 West River Road. The vehicle rolled due to the embankment.”

Couture was not injured, and no charges were filed in the accident, Estes said.
