BURNHAM — Waldo County Judge Susan Longley will hold a probate basics presentation from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at the Burnham Town Hall.
Though Longley cannot provide legal advice, she can help attendees comprehend the basics of probate law. Based on her years of experience as a judge, lawyer and teacher of law courses, she can help attendees better understand such probate-related matters as powers of attorney (advance directives), guardianships, conservatorships, adoptions, name changes and wills, and what families might consider doing to be better prepared.
There is no charge. Longley also will provide refreshments.
