VASSALBORO — Six Class A teams and four Class B teams qualified for Saturday’s state golf team championships Tuesday at the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference qualifier at Natanis Golf Course.

The meet also served as an individual qualifier with 20 players from Class A and 10 from Class B qualifying for the state individual championship scheduled Oct. 13 at Natanis.

Bangor shot the low team score among Class A schools with a four-person total of 321, followed by Cony at 325, Brunswick and Messalonskee at 326 and Oxford Hills and Edward Little at 328. Brunswick’s Brad Smith was the low individual qualifier in Class A with 74. Cony’s Thomas Foster shot 76 to qualify for the Rams while Justin Rollins and Billy Rollins of Messalonskee shot 79 and 81, respectively to qualify.

In Class B, Maranacook was the low team qualifier at 321 followed by Camden Hills at 328, Maine Central Institute at 359 and Leavitt at 373.

Maranacook’s Luke Ruffing and Camden Hills’ Daulton Wickenden were low individual qualifier with 76s. Also qualifying from Maranacook were Cam Brochu (80), Tucker Whitman (82) and Matt Delmar (83). MCI’s Gavin Dugas (78) and Mt. View’s Austin Higgins (84) also qualified.
