My skin is white. I was born that way. I had no choice about it.
I am right-handed. Born that way. No choice.
I am heterosexual. Born that way. No choice.
Prominent psychiatrist Robert L. Spitzer, M.D., a decade ago reported his study of one-time telephone interviews with 200 people who claimed they successfully changed their sexual orientation from homosexual to heterosexual. Spitzer never declared that being gay was a choice or that one could change sexual orientation even through reparative therapy.
In April, renouncing his study as being severely flawed, Spitzer apologized to all gays, especially the victims of reparative therapy.
Homosexuals, like heterosexuals, are born that way. No choice.
