GARDINER — Brooke Davis and Abby Dunn each scored two goals and to lead the Gardiner field hockey team to a 6-0 win over Lincoln in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Thursday that was called early in the second half because of rain.

Ellie Luken and Nickyia Lovely also scored for Gardiner (9-3). Davis added a pair of assists.

Lincoln dropped to 0-12.

Belfast 2, Maranacook 1: Lindsay Jackson scored an unassisted goal in the Black Bears loss to the Lions in Readfield.

Bree Goetz had five saves for the Black Bears (2-9-1).

Belfast improved to 11-1-0.

Boys soccer

Messalonskee 1, Mt. Blue 0: Quinn Warren scored at the four minute mark, and Jonah Webb made it stand as the Eagles beat the Cougars in a KVAC A game in Oakland that was shortened in the second half because of rain.

Webb stopped four shots for the Eagles (5-4-2). Ryan Erskine assisted on the goal.

Zack Jackson had three saves for the Cougars (3-8-0).

Erskine 1, Brewer 1, 2OT: Nick Gayer scored an unassisted goal with 17:19 left in the first half as the Eagles earned a tie with the Witches in a KVAC A game in Brewer.

Josh Theriault scored 10 minutes into the game to give Brewer (1-10-0) a 1-0 lead.

Erskine is now 5-2-4.

Girls soccer

Spruce Mountain 2, Monmouth 1: Lindsey Allen scored on a direct kick with 18 minutes remaining as the Phoenix handed the Mustangs their first loss of the season, in Monmouth.

Hayley Doyen gave Spruce Mountain (5-7-1) a 1-0 lead at halftime. Monmouth (10-1-0) tied it on a goal by Melissa Brassard with an assist by Kylie Kemp early in the second half.

Emily Keene made 12 saves for the Phoenix while Adriane Gonzales had four for the Mustangs.

Women’s soccer

Hartford 3, UMaine 0: Amelia Pereira had a goal and an assist to lead the Hawks to the America East victory in Orono.

Sidney Spremullo and Caroline Dixon also scored for Hartford (8-2-3).

Maine, which out-shot Hartford 15-13, dropped to 5-5-2.
