BANGOR — A Hermon woman has been sentenced to a year and a half in jail for stealing more than $200,000 from the Bangor car dealership where she worked.

Misty Beylerian was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to theft.

Authorities say the 35-year-old Beylerian was an office clerk at Quirk Auto Group who had access to the deposits and adjusted them to take cash for herself.

WABI-TV reports that she spent the money on personal expenses, but prosecutors say there is no evidence she used the money for gambling or drugs.

She admitted she stole $202,000 over a two-year-period, ending last November.
