WINTHROP — Mary Claire Blanchard scored in the first half and Shauna Carlson in the second half as the Winthrop High School field hockey team beat Spruce Mountain 2-0 in a key Mountain Valley Conference game Friday.

Blanchard had an assist on Carlson’s goal as well for Winthrop (11-1-1). Rachel Ingram had an assist for the Ramblers and Alyssa Arsenault made six saves.

Kayla Meserve scored from Rachel Caldon for Spruce Mountain (10-2-1). Hannah Perry had eight saves.

Boothbay 2, Hall-Dale 1: Arden McSwain scored her second goal of the game with seven minutes left in the second half to lift the Seahawks to an MVC win in Farmingdale.

Nicole Pelletier scored with 10:19 left in the second half to tie the game at 1 for Hall-Dale (1-12-0). Hannah Perry made three saves for the Bulldogs.

Skylar Davis had an assist for Boothbay (3-10-0).

Messalonskee 8, Cony 0: Kristy Bernatchez had three goals and an assist as the Eagles won the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game in Oakland.

Kylee Knight added two goals while Emily York and Erin Field each had a goal and an assist for Messalonskee (12-1-0). Lynnae Leuttich chipped in a goal and Brooke Quirion added an assist. Abby Roberts earned the win with two saves.

Kevie Rodrigue stopped 26 shots for Cony (3-7-3).

Mt. Blue 2, Maranacook 1: Sarita Crandall scored both goals as the Cougars earned the KVAC B win in Farmington. Rileigh Blanchet made seven saves for Mt. Blue (7-5-0).

Amber Ridlon stopped 14 shots for the Black Bears (2-9-1).

Erskine 1, Brewer 0: Bridget Humphrey scored with 12 minutes left in the first half on a direct kick from just inside midfield as the Eagles won a KVAC A game in Brewer.

Paige Leary had four saves for Erskine, which improves to 6-3-2.

Glory Watson had 12 saves for Brewer (0-10-0).

Oak Hill 1, Dirigo 1, 2OT: Alyssa Rouleau scored from Sarah Carpenter with 9:10 left in the first half and the Raiders tied the Cougars in an MVC game in Wales.

Kelsey Collins had eight saves for Oak Hill (6-5-1).

Megan Bradbury scored and Natasha Deroche had five saves for Dirigo (7-3-2).

Mt. Blue 5, Messalonskee 0: Mackenzie Conlogue had a pair of goals as the Cougars won a KVAC A game in Farmington.

Chelsea Newhall added a goal and an assist for Mt. Blue (5-4-1). Eryn Doiron and Jaycee Mullen both scored and Hope Thompson chipped in an assist. Gabby Foy and Thia Bridges combined to make 13 saves.

Shawna Oliver had 22 saves for Messalonskee (0-11-0).

Cony 5, Skowhegan 0: Lindsey Folsom scored twice to lead the visiting Rams to the KVAC A win. Emily Quirion, Bayleigh Logan and Annie Brannigan each added a goal for Cony (6-6-0). Josie Lee had two assists. Autumn Sudsbury stopped nine shots.

Andrea Quirion and Christina Caggiano combined to make 13 saves for Skowhegan (1-9-1).

Richmond 9, Greater Portland Christian 0: Eddie Stewart had three goals and three assists as the Bobcats cruised to a win in Richmond.

Nate Tribbett and Curtis Anderson both added a pair of goals for Richmond (12-0-0). Andy Moody had a goal and two assists while Brett Stillwell had a goal and an assist. Colin Acord added two assists and Cameron Emmons had one.

Dustin Sullivan made three saves for the Bobcats while James Perkins had 23 saves for GPC (5-6-0).
