WATERVILLE — The Wesleyan University football team scored 10 points in the final 2 minutes, 31 seconds to pull out a 31-28 victory over Colby in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game Saturday at Seaverns Field.

Sebastian Aguirre kicked a 20-yard field goal with just 34 seconds remaining to snap a 28-28 tie.

LaDarius Drew rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns for Wesleyan (3-0) while tight end Kevin Hughes finished with five catches for 115 yards.

Cardinals quarterback Jesse Warren threw for 233 yards and a touchdown.

First-year quarterback Justin Ciero threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns for the Mules (0-3). He also rushed for a score. Jason Buco had an interception and a 94-yard touchdown reception for Colby.

Bowdoin 17, Tufts 10: Zach Donnarumma rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns to help the Polar Bears earn their first victory of the season.

Greg Pierce also rushed for 73 yards while Thomas Romero completed 13 of 25 passes for 131 yards for Bowdoin (1-2). John Dodds completed 21 of 36 passes for 124 yards to lead the Jumbos (0-3).

Griffin Cardew had 14 tackles to lead Bowdoin.

Bates 33, Williams 6: The Bobcats rushed for 305 yards to earn their second straight victory over the Ephs.

Bates (2-1) ran the ball 66 times for 305 yards and piled up 28 first downs to Williams 12. Patrick George rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries to lead Bates (2-1). Quarterback Trevor Smith rushed for a career-high 98 yards and also completed 12 of 14 passes for 115 yards and two scores — both to Kevin Davis.

Williams dropped to 1-2.

Westfield State 63, MMA 13: Westfield scored on six of its seven first-half possessions and never looked back to earn the New England Football Conference Bogan Division victory at Ritchie Field in Castine.

Lisbon native Erik Washburn completed 13 of 18 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns to lead Westfield State (2-4).

Billy Wetherbee led the Mariners (0-5), rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Michael Fahey added 52 yards on 16 carries for MMA.

Gallaudet 44, Husson 14: Todd Bonheyo rushed for 179 yards and four touchdowns to lead Gallaudet in Bangor. Bonheyo also completed 5 of 12 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown for Gallaudet (5-1).

Kash Keezer threw for 96 yards and two touchdowns to pace Husson (1-5).
