I am sick and tired of handicapped drivers who abuse their special parking privileges.
The purpose of handicapped parking is to provide the shortest possible distance for people who have trouble walking into a store.
I often see disabled drivers sitting in a car parked in handicapped parking spaces, while their able-bodied passenger jumps out and runs into the store for them.
When this happens, disabled drivers who want to go into the store have to find another parking space farther away.
When handicapped parking spaces first became available, the problem was able-bodied drivers using them. Now I see disabled drivers in parked cars who abuse disabled drivers who need to go shopping, and they should know better.
