NEWPORT — Taylor Shaw and Taylor Lovley each scored a goal as the Nokomis field hockey team earned a 2-0 win over Mt. Blue in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Saturday.
Shaw scored in the first half and Lovley in the second hal for Nokomis (10-2-1). Kelsey Kerstetter and Abbi Donaldson each ha an assist for the Warriors.
Rileigh Blanchet had one save for Mt. Blue (6-6-0).
Lawrence 3, Oxford Hills 0: Kapriece Dahms had a goal and an assist as the Bulldogs beat the Vikings in a KVAC A game in Fairfield.
Lauren Watson and Alexis Chamberlain scored first-half goals for Lawrence while Dahms scored on a penalty stroke in the second half.
Abi Egan made 12 saves for Oxford Hills (3-7-2) while Emily Tozier had two for Lawrence (9-3-1).
Boys soccer
Winthrop 2, Carrabec 1, 2OT: Jake Valle scored with an assist from Nolen Howe a minute into the second overtime as the Ramblers won on Homecoming, beating the Cobras in a Mountain Valley Conference game in Winthrop.
William Crawford scored an unassisted goal in the 20th minute of the second half to give Carrabec (3-8-1) a 1-0 lead. Peter Michelson scored for Winthrop (4-6-1) 10 minutes later to tie it.
Matt Sekerak had 15 saves for the Ramblers, Trent Richardson 15 for the Cobras.
Valley 2, Islesboro 0: Stone Ellis scored in the first half and Josh West in the second half as the Cavaliers won in Bingham.
Carrington Miller added an assist for Valley (7-5-0). Collin Miller made two saves.
Ian Davis had 10 saves for Islesboro.
Girls soccer
Carrabec 5, Winthrop 0: Ashlee Knight had two goals, both on direct kicks, as the Cobras beat the Ramblers in an MVC game in Winthrop.
Skyla Murray, Makayla Willette and Molly Gray each added a goal for Carrabec (4-7-1). Mikayla Leeman and Leonna Dunphy both had an assist. Macy Welch and Sarah Larlee combined for nine saves.
Danielle Pease had 23 saves for Winthrop (0-11-1).
Hampden 2, Lawrence 1: Erin Jeter and Elise Arsenault scored back-to-back goals as the host Broncos (10-2-0) took a 2-0 lead and then held on for the KVAC A win.
Michaela Hinckley-Gordon scored off an assist from Ahlin Sungsuwan for Lawrence (6-5-1). Paige Belanger made nine saves.
