WINTHROP — Jake Valle scored with an assist from Nolen Howe a minute into the second overtime as Winthrop defeated Carrabec 2-1 in Mountain Valley Conference boys soccer action Saturday.
William Crawford scored an unassisted goal in the 20th minute of the second half to give Carrabec (3-8-1) a 1-0 lead. Peter Michelson scored for Winthrop (4-6-1) 10 minutes later to tie it.
Matt Sekerak had 15 saves for the Ramblers while Trent Richardson had 15 for the Cobras.
Richmond 8, Waynflete 2: Eddie Stewart scored three goals and Cameron Emmons added a pair to lead the Bobcats (13-0-0).
Randy Moody added a goal and an assist for Richmond while goalie Dustin Sullivan stopped seven shots. Tommy Silk had 10 saves for Waynflete (9-1-1).
Girls soccer
Lisbon 3, Monmouth 2: Chelsea Huston scored an unassisted goal with 7:20 left in the game as the host Greyhounds won to remain unbeaten in Mountain Valley Conference play.
Shantal MacWhinnie scored a little less than 10 minutes earlier to tie the game for Lisbon (11-0-1). Monmouth (10-2-0) had taken a 2-1 lead on a goal by Danielle Bumann. Kylie Kemp scored in the first half to give Monmouth a 1-0 lead. Kayla Angelico tied it later in the first.
Caroline Bonenfant and Melissa Brassard each had an assist for Monmouth. Andrianna Gonzales made nine saves.
Carrabec 5, Winthrop 0: Ashlee Knight had two goals, both on direct kicks, as the Cobras won the MVC game in Winthrop.
Skyla Murray, Makayla Willette and Molly Gray each addded a goal for Carrabec (4-7-1). Mikayla Leeman and Leonna Dunphy both had an assist. Macy Welch and Sarah Larlee combined for nine saves.
Danielle Pease made 23 saves for Winthrop (0-11-1).
Hall-Dale 3, Telstar 0: Maura Stottler and Thea Sweet scored in the first half as the Bulldogs won the MVC game Friday in Farmingdale.
Eva Shepherd added a goal in the second half for Hall-Dale (8-3-1). Shepherd and Emily Maynard each had an assist.
Tori Ryerson stopped 16 shots for Telstar (1-10-1).
Richmond 1, Waynflete 1, 2OT: Sadie Cole’s unassisted goal in the second half drew Waynflete into a 1-1 tie and the teams stayed that way through two overtime periods in non-league action in Richmond/ Amber Loon gave the Bobcats a 1-0 lead in the first half with the assist going to Jessie Anair.
Kelsie Obi made 12 saves in goal for Richmond (12-0-1) while Julianna Harwood mad nine stops for Waynflete (6-0-4).
