Many state workers and retirees live in Chelsea, Somerville, Whitefield, Jefferson and Washington, yet Rep. Deborah Sanderson, R-District 52, voted in favor of taking money out of the pockets of retired state workers and using it to fund tax cuts for big corporations and the wealthy.

She also voted against lowering taxes for working families, against raising the minimum wage and in favor of rolling back Maine’s child labor laws. She supported limiting access to voting, one of our basic rights.

Hard times require creative solutions, not Sanderson’s unflinching stance. Democrat Elizabeth Miller has spent her life solving problems and working to improve the health of Maine people. I’m voting for her. I hope others will join me.
