I have known Alan Stearns for 18 years, and worked with him for three years.
Stearns has the rare skill of working with people with opposing interests to solve problems that divide them. He achieves workable solutions by approaching issues in an honest and open fashion, and listening to all sides to really understand what is needed to resolve the problem.
As our city councilor, Stearns’ skills will benefit Hallowell.
Governing any community is a challenge. We need people like Alan, who has practical knowledge of roads and sewers, budgeting, public safety and education, to help keep Hallowell a place where we all want to live.
His passion for making government work will be a welcome addition to the City Council.
I urge my fellow residents to support him on Election Day.
