As a Navy veteran, I am supporting Patsy Crockett, Democratic candidate for House District 57.
She supports military veterans and has proven that support many times. Crockett not only helped to raise money for flag poles at the veterans cemetery in Augusta, she also raised the flag on one of them during ceremonies.
The American Legion’s Blue Star Banner program honors the sacrifice of families of our service members. While in the Legislature, Crockett introduced legislative sentiments to many of these families. She welcomed the crew of the USS Maine to the State House, honoring them with legislative sentiments and a Maine state flag.
Each fall, Crockett presented legislative sentiments to inductees of the Holland Club, which honors submarine veterans.
Crockett has always honored and supported our veterans, and I hope they and others will join me in supporting Crockett on Nov. 6th.
