Recently the Colleen Lachowicz for State Senate campaign released a public statement about the information that was released by the Maine Republican Party identifying some outrageous and offensive comments the candidate had made on an online forum.
Lachowicz never apologized for any of the statements she made nor made any effort to clarify them. This type of behavior makes me feel as if she still stands behind what she said. These statements are offensive and demonstrate that she is intolerant of people with different viewpoints.
Playing video games is fine, and I know that millions of Americans enjoy playing video games. Playing video games is not the problem. Intolerance is the problem. Intolerance is not a trait I look for in a state senator.
I urge others to join me in voting for Sen. Tom Martin, Republican candidate for Senate District 25 on Nov. 6.
