Angus King didn’t look out for us as governor; why would we expect him to as a senator?

After the Great Ice Storm, I had no power for three days. When the forecast called for plummeting temperatures, I borrowed money to get a generator to protect my boiler and pipes.

Later, King rejected FEMA assistance to those who suffered similar damage, on the premise that no income limit was placed on those who would receive assistance.

The Ice Storm inflicted great damage on Maine citizens of all income levels and burdened the Maine economy.

Now King is rubbing elbows with N.Y. Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Are we soon to see the micro-managing policies of New York soon in Maine? I don’t think we need “Soft Drink Police” or anti-gun measures or even higher taxes as part of policy here in Maine. We need more freedom and less control.
