Democrat Karen Kusiak is running for office for House District 84, Fairfield, Rome and Smithfield.

I met Kusiak shortly after she was asked to run. She is thoughtful and smart, and knows the importance of listening to constituents and their concerns.

Kusiak has lived a life committed to young people and education, and she knows that a well-educated and well-trained citizenry is imperative to our economy and to democracy itself.

I have been dismayed by the voting habits of our current representative, who changes his vote to agree with the governor after a veto. I want a representative who has a clear vision of what is good for Maine. That’s why I’m voting for Kusiak for House.
