I’ve known Democrat Maeghan Maloney for 25 years and am sure that she will excel as district attorney for Kennebec and Somerset counties.
As a child in Lewiston, Maloney’s best friend was killed by a drunken driver who was never brought to justice. That tragedy spurred Maloney on to be a prosecutor.
We met regularly while she attended Harvard Law School and while she worked as a victim’s advocate at the U.S. Department of Justice and at the Prison Legal Defense Project.
Maloney has tried cases throughout Kennebec and Somerset counties as an assistant attorney general in Maine and served with honor in the Legislature.
As former attorney general for Maine, I know Maloney has the dedication, drive and local experience to excel as district attorney.
