Rep. Jeff McCabe, D-Skowhegan, stands out in the article profiling himself and his opponent, Donald Skillings, Republican candidate for House District 85.
McCabe talked about representing the people and their needs, while Skillings spoke about making things better for business, never mentioning the citizens. It does not naturally follow that making things better for business makes things better for the people. Just look at Wall Street.
I hope that the people of Skowhegan will support McCabe rather than another party-line person who would continue policies like the ones that have led to higher insurance rates for seniors and small businesses, higher taxes for the middle class, fewer investments in Maine, in education and in Maine’s infrastructure. We need to re-elect McCabe for a better future.
