As a state employee, I know the importance of having someone who has a proven record of standing up for us at the State House.

While I don’t disagree with the concept of “shared pain” to balance the state budget, state employees and retirees have had to bear more than their share.

The cuts to our pensions (even for those who have already retired), wages and benefits might have been understandable if the money did not pay for tax cuts, the largest of which went to people with incomes over $250,000. Nobody I know.

When Patsy Crockett, Democratic candidate for District 57, did tax reform, it benefited all Mainers, and it was not paid for by taking from one group of taxpayers and giving it to others.

I am voting for Crockett because I know she will work for working families like mine.
