We are fortunate in House District 59 to have a qualified individual who has stepped forward to fill the candidate vacancy caused by the sad and untimely passing of Dan Bates.

Shirley Hanley, the new Republican candidate, is a long-time, well-known resident of Randolph and has been involved in local activities for years.

Hanley has worked with Meals on Wheels for the elderly and, more recently, was instrumental in the establishment of the Randolph Veterans Memorial.

Hanley will have the same open-door policy for her constituents as her predecessor had and will not yield to special interest groups.

She will bring to this elected position the same unbounded enthusiasm she always displays for any activity in which she is involved.
