On Nov. 6, I’ll vote for Elizabeth Miller, Democratic candidate for House District 52.

Over the past two years, we’ve seen a partisan bulldozer demolish programs and services designed to ensure the health, safety and well-being of Maine people.

Deb Sanderson voted right along with Gov. Paul LePage to make deep cuts to services that protect and support Maine’s most vulnerable populations: The elderly, disabled, poor and mentally ill.

As citizens, it is our responsibility to care for those who cannot care for themselves. Miller has a strong background in public health, a history of making thoughtful, informed decisions for our district during the three terms she served as our state representative, and she has demonstrated her ability to work across the aisle and put Maine people before politics.

I urge others who want to return civility to Augusta and common sense to our Congress to do the same.
