I support election of Colleen Lachowicz, Democratic candidate for Senate District 25.

She will work for legislation that will make Maine a better, healthier, more prosperous state for all of us. Her work with families helps her understand our needs. She will listen to interest groups and the general public, then use good judgment to make a fair decision.

Her incumbent opponent has served one term in the Maine Legislature. The AFL-CIO analyzed his votes on eight legislative documents relating to labor issues. According to them, he voted the wrong way on all but one of them. I think that Lachowicz would have done better.

Many middle-class people have been hurt by the recession that resulted from decisions made at the federal level during the Bush administration. Lachowicz will help us recover without putting the burden on middle-class people who did not generate the problem.
