This letter is in response to Joan Moes’ letter (“Romney’s status in Mormon church scary”) in the Oct. 29 edition. She’s against religion if it’s organized. I don’t know what church she belongs to, or how old she is.

A church should be organized to teach its members how to live Christ-like. Teachings include how to think, how to behave and how to live healthy. As how much to give in money, it says in the Bible to give one-tenth of your income.

Keeping close tabs on their members should be all churches’ responsibility to make sure their members are well and their needs are met.
