OAKLAND — A rabies clinic is set for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Fire Station, 11 Fairfield, St. The clinic is free for Oakland residents and open to non-residents for a $10 fee. Dr. Peter Walsh, has volunteered his time and services for this event.

Bring prior rabies vaccination certificate so your pet may receive a three-year vaccination, otherwise your pet will receive a one-year vaccination.

Town Office staff will be available to issue Oakland residents 2013 dog licenses. All dogs must be licensed prior to Jan. 31, 2013, to avoid the automatic $25 late fee regulated by the state.

Registration fees cost $6 for spayed/neutered pets or $11 for unaltered pets. If registering for the first time, bring certificate of spaying/neutering. For more information, call the Town Office at 465-7357.
