SOLON — Organizers of New Hope Women’s Shelter recently began construction of its new building, with an all-volunteer building day. Crews made up of several contractors, who volunteer their time, and others plan to put up the walls of the new 5,000-square-foot facility.
The shelter houses up to 13 women and children. The new facility will house up to 16 single women and six mothers with up to 12 young children.
Construction will continue as funds become available.
