WATERVILLE — Taylor DeSanty scored 27 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Colby-Sawyer past Thomas 65-50 in women’s basketball action Friday.

Kelsey Cahill added 18 points for Colby-Sawyer, which evened its record to 4-4. Ashley Fruzzetti added 12 points, all on the 3-pointer.

Thomas (2-3) was led by Messalonskee graduate Megan Pelletier with 16 points. Elizabeth Goodall added 10 points while Waterville graduate Jasmine Bishop chipped in with six.

Men’s basketball

Bowdoin 64, Colby 58: Keegan Pieri scored a team-high 22 points and Bryan Hurley added 15 to lead the Polar Bears in a NESCAC game in Brunswick. Hurley also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds for Bowdoin (5-2).

The teams were tied 22-22 at the half before Bowdoin surged ahead in the second.

Sam Wilson came off the bench to score 17 points to lead the Mules (2-5). Chris Hudnut lfinished with nine points and eight rebounds.

Colby-Sawyer 73, Thomas 68: Mike Dias scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Chargers to the North Atlantic Conference win in Waterville.

Koang Thok added 21 points for Colby-Sawyer (2-5), while Peter Donato came off the bench to get 12 rebounds.

Levi Barnes of Skowhegan led Thomas (3-2) with 22 points. Franklin Salvador added nine points for the Terriers.

Men’s hockey

Connecticut College 7, Colby 2: The Mules gave up four goals in the second period on their way to a loss.

Dawson Luke, Mile Sinsigalli, Zach Jones and JR LaPointe all scored in the second period for Conn. College. Sean Murray and Sebastian Meltzer added first-period goals and Keith Veronesi added a third-period goal.

Ray Zeek scored in the first period and Jonathan Sdao in the second for Colby.
