WINSLOW — Randall and Carmel Fredette celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 29, 2012, with a surprise party at T&B Outback Lounge. The party was given by their children and families.
Mr. Fredette and the former Carmel Philbrick were married Aug. 21, 1962, in Lansing, Mich. They later had their marriage blessed by their friend Fr. Thomas Tolinteno at Merrell Barracks, Nuremberg, Germany.
Mrs. Fredette has been a school bus driver for the past 40 years for the Town of Winslow.
Mr. Fredette is owner of Babe’s Garage in Winslow.
A daughter, Sarah Rose Fredette, predeceased them.
The couple have six children, Randall Jr. of Florida, Kevin and Carol Fredette, Bruce and Eileen Richards, Todd and Lori Fredette, Tara Schmitt, Donald and Marsha Demers of Winslow; 14 grandchildren, Benjamin, Marissa and Ryan Fredette, Sarah Fredette, Dylon and Destanie Richards, Luke and Cameron Fredette, Devin Fitzgibbons, Samuel and Elizabeth Schmitt, Cassandra, Alexander and Michaela Demers and great-grandson, Chase Lawler, all of Winslow.
