FAIRFIELD — Edward and Leanne Stevens of Fairfield have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Rachel Stevens to Daniel Matthew Melisurgo, son of Paul and Ann Melisurgo of Bay Shore, N.Y.
Lindsay graduated from Lawrence High School in 2004, earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Maine in 2007, and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Maine in 2012. She is an eighth-grade teacher at Holbrook Middle School in Holden.
Daniel graduated from Islip High School, Islip, N.Y. in 2002 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Maine in 2006. He is a New York City Police Officer in New York, N.Y.
An August 2013 wedding is planned.
