“The Lord is near to all who call upon him,” Psalm 145:18.

To him there are no secret struggles or silent cries. He hears. He sees. He stays near.

All of our hearts were pierced, our tears were streams flowing like a river. Who is able to answer our many questions? Only God knows.

We can’t wrap our minds around this horrendous killing of these innocent children and caring adults. At this time, we must do what we can do.

As we have opportunity, let us do good to those we can. How can we lighten another’s burden to have a more peaceful environment? It may be just a smile, a hug, a greeting. Anything we can to allow another person that we recognize them and they recognize us.

We are in this world together. “Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit,” says the Lord Almighty in Zechariah 4:3.
