WINTHROP — Meghan Murphy, 19, of Winthrop, has released her debut album, “The Southern Side of Life.”

The album contains 12 original songs that revolve around leaving home and growing up.

The CD was recorded and produced by Bob Colwell at the Root Cellar Recording Studio in Hallowell. Murphy is accompanied on the album by Roger Sampson on guitar, Justin Maxwell on bass, Dick Hollis on drums, and Bob Colwell on keyboards, organ, mandolin, and accordion.

Backup vocals are sung by Bob Colwell, Katie Daggett and Erik Glockler. Murphy also plays guitar and ukulele on the album.

The album was mastered by Adam Ayan at Gateway Mastering Studios in Portland and distributed by Crooked Cove.
