UNITY — Sara Trunzo, Unity College Food and Farms Project coordinator, will be awarded Volunteer of the Year by the Unity Area Rotary Club at the program and award ceremony from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday at Crosstrax Restaurant.

AUGUSTA — The Maine State Museum will open a special exhibit “Girl Scouts: Celebrating One Hundred Years.” The exhibit can be seen from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Saturday, June 23, through Aug. 31, with a day filled with activities.

LEXINGTON — A Summer Fair is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24, at the site of the History House at the intersection of Long Falls Dam and Back roads. This event is sponsored by the Lexington/Highland Historical Society.

FAIRFIELD — Cameran J. Huggins of Fairfield was recently named to the 2012 spring semester dean’s list at Thomas College. He is majoring in criminal justice.

STANDISH — Kinsey Hilton of Oakland and Kaitlin LaPlante of Benton were recently named to the 2012 spring semester dean’s list at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine.
