That message was touted repeatedly Thursday by Deb Neuman, deputy commissioner of the state Department of Economic and Community Development.

AUGUSTA  – Tonight’s Augusta City Council meeting has been canceled due to the snow storm, according to city officials. Items which were on tonight’s agenda, which included discussion of a proposed new herbicide ordinance and policy, will instead be moved to the next council informational meeting, Jan. 26.            

The Nantucket Sound project, which aims to be the nation’s first offshore wind farm, is still seeking buyers for half of its projected power output.
