MADISON — Members of the Eunice Farnsworth-Ruth Heald Cragin Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution recently met at the Old Point Facility. Two new members, Maryilyn Dunlap and Mary Lou Holden Mollerus attended; one pending member, Cheryl West, whose application is in the process of being verified; and one prospective member Nancy Drew. The registrar reported several applications are being processed at the chapter level; with one nearing the final stage before being submitted to the registrar general in Washington.

Gingerbread house competition results
MADISON — Weber Insurance of Madison recently sponsored the annual gingerbread house competition. There were 21 entries, the creations were judged by Michael Hunt, co-owner/cake decorator of The Bankery in Skowhegan for Decorators Choice and the public voted for their favorites.

Cheverus High grad sentenced for insider trading
A Cheverus High School alumnus, former trustee and major donor was one of two former hedge-fund managers convicted Monday for their roles in an insider-trading scheme that illegally netted more than $72 million, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York.
