BINGHAM — Upper Kennebec Valley High School’s girls’ varsity basketball team will sponsor Fill the Gym Breast Cancer Awareness night Friday, Jan. 18.

Games are set for 5:30 and 7 p.m.; doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Admission cost $1 or free if participants that wear pink.

Entertainment during half-time of the girls’ game will be “Who Can Shoot Better Than a Fifth Grader?” Between games the school song will be played and a brief speech is scheduled by a representative of the Susan G. Komen Foundation on the importance of early detection is planned.

Entertainment during half-time of the boys’ game will be introduction of Gold Ball Alumni with a few members involved in a shoot-out and a 50/50 raffle drawing.

There will be concessions, a 50/50 raffle and items for sale. All proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
