MADISON — Tristan Small, a Madison Junior High School eighth-grade student, won the National Geographic Bee school-level competition on Jan. 4.
The school-level bee, at which students answer oral questions on geography, was the first round in the 25th annual National Geographic Bee, at which students first compete at the school level.
Tristan’s next step is to take a written qualifying test to advance to the state-level competition planned for April.
