MERRIMACK, N.H. — Brookstone Inc. has laid off about 3 percent of its workforce, including about 75 people at the company’s headquarters in Merrimack, N.H.
The Telegraph of Nashua reports a company spokesman for the retailer described the move as part of a reorganization plan. He didn’t specify if the layoffs only affected workers in Merrimack or whether they were more widespread.
Brookstone was founded in 1965 and opened its first retail store in Peterborough in 1973.
The firm operates close to 300 stores, mostly in the Northeast and New England.
