PORTLAND — Young & Free Maine seeks Maine musicians to participate in its second annual Sound Off Music Competition.
Individuals, groups or artists, ages 18-25 and not under a recording contract, are welcome.
Entrants should submit an audio or video recording of them singing or performing original music at www.YoungFreeMaine.com by Jan. 28. From Jan. 29 to Feb. 7, the public will vote to choose the top five artists and bands. A live performance audition for the finalists will take place on Feb. 15.
The grand prize winner will receive a package that includes a full day recording session at Main Street Studio in Bangor and a spot to perform live on a main stage venue at the KahBang music festival in August. Prizes will also be awarded to the first and second runners up.
