HALLOWELL — A Kennebec WinterKids Festival will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at The Bank of Maine Ice Vault, 203 Whitten Road.
There will be snowshoeing for all ages; a meet-and-greet with the sled dogs from Heywood Kennel Sled Dog Adventures; ice skating; and an interactive StoryWalk that combines reading with outdoor activity.
There will also be music, snacks and raffle prizes.
This event is free and open to the public.
WinterKids is the nonprofit organization that helps children develop healthy lifelong habits through outdoor winter activity. For more information, visit www.winterkids.org.
