WINSLOW — Paige Veilleux and Jennifer Poulin both scored third-period goals as the Winslow girls hockey team beat Gorham/Bonny Eagle 4-3 at Sukee Arena on Saturday to secure a playoff berth.

Veilleux and Poulin also scored in the second period, which ended in a 2-2 tie. Alex Lachance, Hilary Libby, Poulin and Miranda Gagne each had an assists for Winslow (5-10-3). Jessica Cain made 17 saves.

Rachel Litif had two goals and Charlotte Smith one for Gorham/Bonny Eagle (7-11-0).

Boys hockey

Lawrence 4, Houlton/Hodgdon 0: Tyler Boudreau had a pair of goals as the Bulldogs won in Winslow.

Jordan Nutting added a goal and an assist for Lawrence (6-8-0). Cody Martin also scored, while Josh Doolan, Adam Littlefield and Clay Turner each had an assist. Kyle McLain stopped 26 shots for the Bulldogs.

Payton Porter had 35 saves for Houlton/Hodgdon (4-11-0).

Skowhegan 3, GNG/Poland 1: Anthony Paul had two goals as the indians beat the Patriotic Knights at Ingersoll Arena in Auburn.

Chase Nelson also scored for Skowhegan (11-2-1). Paul and Camden DesPres each had an assist and Sam Edmundson had eight saves.

Nevin Rand scored and Calvin Shelley had 38 saves for GNG/Poland (2-9-1).

Rangeley 46, Forest Hills 32: Taylor Esty had 19 points as the Lakers defeated the Tigers in Jackman.

Tori Letarte added 12 points and Abby Abbott had eight rebounds for Rangeley (15-1). The Lakers led 18-15 at halftime.

Kori Coro had eight points and Dana McNally scored seven for Forest Hills (14-3).

Belfast 30, Waterville 23: Lexi Nelligan scored 15 points as the Lions beat the Panthers in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game in Waterville.

Colleen O’Donnell had eight points for Waterville (2-14).

Belfast is 12-4.

Boys basketball

Valley 72: Piscataquis 48: Carrington Miller had a triple double with 19 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds to lead the Cavaliers to the win in Bingham.

Josh West added 17 points and eight steals for Valley (14-3) while Collin Miller chipped in 12 and Dyland Belanger scored 11.

PCHS (3-14) was led by Logan Sargent with 12 points.

Forest Hills 64, Rangeley 24: Matt Turner scored 15 points as the Tigers beat the Lakers in an East/West Conference game in Jackman.

Evan Worster added 14 points for the Tigers, who improve to 15-2.

A.J. Elms had seven points for Rangeley (2-13).

Waterville 65, Belfast 34: Justin Jabar scored 17 points and Jordan Derosby added 16 to lead the Purple Panthers to the KVAC B victory in Waterville.

Chris Hale scored 10 points for the Panthers (11-5).

Ryan Rice scored 11 points to lead Belfast (7-9).

Nokomis 67, Maranacook 49: Andrew Cartright had 24 points as the Warriors pulled away from the Black Bears in Readfield.

Spencer Hartsgrove added 18 points and Chandler Foss scored 10 for Nokomis (8-8).

Cameron Brochu led Maranacook (6-9) with 16 points.
